I teach music in contemporary worship in our church, but I work as choir director at the local high school for my “job.” I’m in the front row Given the changing trends in fashion for young people in this position. Sometimes I smile, sometimes I grimace, and sometimes I shake my head and laugh.

As a child of 80 years, I really have no right. We certainly had our share of ridiculous fashions of the decade. I’m glad, digital photography does not exist at the time – the few photos that have survived are pretty bad. Let me make a few horror stories, but some things are best left in the past.

I was in the labor market for more than 20 years, and I think I qualify as an experienced teacher. One of the things I found interesting, like the fashion spreads of the teenage population.

I noticed that the young teachers, especially women, sometimes not enough to make this transition. Consciously or unconsciously, they feel better relate to students if they remain in “teen fashion” mode. Sometimes dress as if to say “Look, I like you, I’m not like them.” This is generally not handled well. They give the impression that insecure and tries her youth studied the acceptance of youth, not as confident adults cling to earn respect.
